Inspired by Amanda at Crazymomquilts, I donated a couple Wonky Stars to her Quilts of Valor project and knew I wanted to make a quilt for myself using this fun block.
I have finished piecing 30 Wonky Stars and I am hand quilting them individually, relaxing and fun I enjoy/love hand sewing. ;)
I made a small quilt called “Beach Balls” with the fabric I had left over from the Wonky Star Blocks.
Inspired by a tutorial here *** Cluck.Cluck.Sew. Thank you Allison. This quilt was a lot of fun and I think I will make another. It measures 33.5”x44”.
I used flannel on the back and had a lot of fun with the quilting!!
Another quilt named by Kevin, the fabric line is Nautical and Nice so I think “Beach Balls” is appropriate.
Looks cute on a table too!!
Six blocks completed for Rachel’s pinwheel sampler quilt a long.

I love the blue circles....that quilt turned out darling! I love all the other ones too. I'm glad the tutorial worked for you and thanks for showing me! -Allison
ReplyDeleteThose are all gorgeous! How do you put blocks together if you've already quilted them? I see individual pieced blocks from time to time but I never see the next step. I LOVE your beach ball quilt, how fun! And the pinwheel quilt, lovely too!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE all of your quilts but that beach ball quilt is to die for! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. I really like your label on it too! You're awesome :)
