Two firsts!

First T-Shirt quilt (for a friend).  Lady Lions basketball!

I had one block left over so I made a pillow to match.

First time machine stitching my binding.

I love the way this quilt turned out and am sure I will make one for each of my kids someday….Sigh lol

Her Mama wrote a sweet note and I attached and embroidered it to the quilt.

  1. I loooove your version of the tshirt quilt. I just went through my 2 boxes of tshirts saved up from my sport years, I was going to take a picture of them and part with them, but decided to keep them and make a quilt. I am sooo glad you made this quilt before I did!!!!! BEAUTIFUL as always.

  6. I love the grey and yellow, its such a fun combination. I made a t-shirt quilt ages ago and it definitely is not even close to how beautiful this one is!

  10. oh, my, this is just lovely! I'm not a fan of t shirt quilts, either, but this one is AMAZING. but then again everything you make is, Shawn! your quilting is lovely and the note from mom on the back is so sweet.

    Hurray for machine binding!!! Isn't it so slick and fun and FAST?!? I love it. (obviously.) :)

  15. Shawn, thank you for making this Christmas a memorable one. Katie was like me when she saw the quilt - shocked and amazed. It is absolutely beautiful! The love you put into the quilt shines through. We are still in awe of it.
