I piece all my quilts on a Featherweight. My parents gave me this machine when I was a young girl and she was used when I got her. I.love.this. machine…. she is like one of my kids. I should have shined her up for a photo, oh well.
I actually have four of these hard workers including the one my Dad gave my Mom when they were married in 1956.
I do all my quilting on my Bernina and she is a dream to sew with too! I’m working on my Chubby Stars quilt a long with Fresh Cottons by Fig Tree Quilts.
Using polka dots from the Breakfast at Tiffanys by Fig Tree on the back.
Lots of ironing and careful piecing in this quilt.
I feel like I’m finally coming down the home stretch. I started it back in August but then took a few months off for the holidays and piecing all those chain blocks. There are 48pcs in each chain block….yikes. I’m going to add a red polka dot border all the way around the outside edge.
I had these old lamps packed away for so long and I love them so much I decided to put them in my sewing room, so glad I did.
Happily Sewing,
xoShawn
What is that red and white fabric hanging on the right in the next to last picture? Are those curtains?? LOVE that fabric! :)
ReplyDeleteI used my old Singer for everything until two years ago when my husband surprised me with a new Pfaff. :)
Wow -- that quilt is beautiful. Don't you love piecing something with more detail? Your machine is a beauty too!
